1). It's an even number year, which for some reason I always seem to prefer.
2). We have a trip planned to Hawaii in 6 weeks. It was originally just a work conference for Corey, but we extended it to turn it into a mini "baby-moon."
3). And of course, most exciting family news for 2016 so far, Baby DuPont should be born sometime this April.
This weekend I broke down and headed to Motherhood Maternity for a few staple pieces. I have enjoyed the belly band for my non-maternity pants, but I have to admit this work around is not as comfortable as actual maternity pants. I've also received multiple maternity hand-me-downs from friends and family, which has been such a gift. Some of them fit great and others not so much, which is why I decided to purchase some staple pieces on my own. Between the belly band, hand-me-downs and my own purchases I now have lots of maternity and non-maternity options to mix and match.
Maternity Staples:
- Fitted solid t-shirts (I tried non-maternity shirts for a while, but they just aren't long enough. Non-maternity loose t-shirts or baggy sweaters are great though.)
- Skinny jeans or whatever style jean you prefer
- Layering camis (Santa brought me some, they are wonderfully because they're long and perfect for hiding your belly button if it's starting to pop out haha)
This weekend I kept it casual and ended up piecing together this modernized 70's Bohemian look:
Long Sleeved T-Shit: Motherhood Maternity ($19.98), Skinny Jeans: Motherhood Maternity ($39.98) |
Lace Vest: Bohme (non-maternity), Boots: Ether (Portland, OR) |
My preferred blog picture |
Headband: scarf of my grandmother;s, Earrings: Francesca's |
My actual life hahaha
Be Bold,
Be Brave,
Be Beautiful,
