Red, White & Blue

I love the 4th of July for many reasons, one of less important reasons is because I LOVE the color red.  Let's start with my pre-Independence Day attire I wore to work on Thursday:

Jeans: Gap, Shoes: Blowfish

Blazer: Mango via JcPenney, Blouse: Ann Taylor

Post-work cuddle time with Oscar dog.

Sometimes I just love how much he hate me.

I ended up wearing 3 different outfits on the 4th.

We started our Independence Day with a long bike ride to downtown Boise to watch the parade. Tacky spaghetti straps I know, but it was soooooo hot outside, I couldn't bring myself to put on a t-shit. In my defense, people were much less clothed than I was sporting crop tops and booty shorts (IN PUBLIC!). Oh geez. Maybe I'm just a modest mouse.

We cooled down after the parade with some much needed smoothies, then rode our bikes further to Ann Morrison to check out the chalk art (see here).

Fedora: Target, Sunglasses: JcPenney, Tank: ?, Earrings: Gordmans

Our next stop was a bbq at our friends in Eagle. We had some AMAZING halibut they caught on a trip to Alaska.
Tank&Skirt: Old Navy, Sandals: Target
Earrings: Holly Go Lightly

I looked like a high-schooler in my 3rd outfit, but I wanted to be comfortable for the fireworks without getting eaten my mosquitos...hence the jeans despite the 90+degree temperatures.
Tank: ?, Jeans: Levi's, Shoes: Converse

I had wrapped a red, white and blue ribbon around my wrist until the bug spray caused the color to wear off and turn my skin all kinds of patriotic :-)

Hope you all had a fabulous 4th!!!
