Denim Jacket & Yellow Belt

I have a thing for stripes & light denim in the summer. I can't explain it. I'm drawn to them. 

I'm a little late in posting this first outfit. It's from about 4 weeks ago, when I went to Central Oregon for my sister-in-law's graduation party (she's a RN now... basically a rock-star). I stayed in my little sister's room during the trip, which used to be my room in my latter high school years, weird. 

The denim jacket was appropriate when I wore it, the weather in Orgeon was chilly this weekend, but I definitely was not sporting layers this weekend in Boise with the 103* temperatures (YIKES!).

This is what I wore to her graduation celebration:

Dress: Bohme, Jean Jacket: DownEast Basics

Earrings: Holly Go Lightly (these earrings offered the perfect pop of color...red of course)

Glasses: Kate Spade

Belt: Target

I repeated the same denim jacket/yellow belt combo with a hand-me-down dress from my little sister. This dress is so cute, love the bird print. Unfortunately it is not very practical. I had to wear a slip with it to prevent it from being see-through and it kept clining to the slip causing it to become shorter and shorter. Too much fuss for this bombshell. It was a one time look.

Yellow Belt: I pulled it off one of my dresses I bought at Target (1-2 years ago). I love mixing accessories.
