I admire Jason Wu. His ambition, his design genius and his commitment to staying local (over 90% of his collections are made in New York City's Garment District).
Jason Wu's Resort 2014 Collection was no exception. I picked a few of my favorite dresses from the collection (if I picked outside of dresses this would have been the longest post ever...so many beautiful items to choose from!!!).
The palm-like embellishments have just the right amount of sparkle and continue knee-length of the gown. I love the clean lines of this design matched with the dramatic detailing.

The simplicity of this gown is nothing but chic and sophisticated. The fit and draping keeps it from looking too much like a toga and more like a modern day Greek goddess attending evening parties during the summer in the Hamptons.

If I had an evening wedding to attend this year in LA or Manhattan, I would wear this gown. It's stunning. The detailing, the cut, the color, the fabric (sigh). If there are runways in heaven, the angels would be wearing this...maybe with a longer slip underneath ;-)

I'm not sure what's gong on with the chunky sandals in this ensemble, but the cut of the dress is amazing!!! I love the geometric detailing of the top paired with the delicate fabric.

I would have paired the dresss with one of these shoe options instead:
