The BoiseBombshell: Seeing Stars

As I began devouring the September 2013 issue of Vogue, I saw an oh-so-familiar wool cardigan. I fell in love with star-print masterpiece in the August 2013 issue of Elle. Both magazines featured the Saint Laurent wool sweater by Hedi Slimane (the brand's current creative director).

I was somewhat disappointed to find Vogue copied the exact same look from Elle (a month too late). Both the wool sweater and silk dress are by Saint Laurent.

Vogue is owned by Conde Nast, while Elle is run through Hearst Magazines. You would think since Vogue is one of the leading fashion publications, they would pay more attention...but I guess you can't always be #1. Kudos to Elle for beating Vogue to the printer on this one.

Aside from the duplicate look, I am in *LOVE* with this sweater. Something about the grunge-rocker look appeals to me. Since most of us can't afford to spend $1,290 on the Saint Laurent sweater (let alone anything else), I found some alternatives...
