My recent blog hiatus was due to a fun-filled vacation in sunny San Diego. It was the perfect get away before starting my last term of school (which begins tomorrow). Here's a day by day recap of events and vacation attire:
Friday, August 16th:
We got into San Diego after 9pm. My aunt, uncle and cousin met us at the airport and took us out to dinner in Little Italy. We went to this cute Italian restaurant called
Filippi's. I didn't get a good picture of my whole outfit this day. I wore some jeans I just bought at Dillard's by David Bitton. They're called "Buffalo Jeans." Read about the brand and shop
here.

Jean Jacket: DownEast Basics, Scarf (it was a gift) |
Saturday, August 17th:
We went paddle boarding in Mission Bay on Saturday. I had only been paddle boarding once before on a very small pond in Idaho. Apparently it's a little trickier to paddle board in open water with jet skis and sail boats going by. haha We still had a blast though.

Afterward we went to
Sublime for dinner in San Marcos, where you can build your own macaroni. I had beer cheese macaroni with caramelized onions, pulled pork and bacon. AMAZING!!!

Sunday, August 18th:
It was difficult getting dressed Sunday morning because I was pretty sunburnt from paddle boarding. I stuck to a breezy blouse from Forever 21. We went for a hike at Torrey Pines with my Aunt Karen and Uncle John, then out to Mexican food for lunch in Del Mar.

Tuesday, August 20th:
We stopped at Panera Bread for breakfast. We don't have them in Boise (yet). I had a frozen mocha and cinnamon crunch bagel (both amazing). Then we went to Balboa Park and walked around the botanical garden pavilion and a one of the art museums.

We spent the rest of the day enjoying the beach in Del Mar.
Wednesday, August 21st:
We headed to San Marcos again. We got to tour my cousin's work, Cobian (a casual footwear company). Famous for their comfy sandals, they are also designing some pretty incredible fall footwear. Check it out
here. My cousin works in design and development. Visiting Cobian was like a scene from "The Devil Wears Prada." There's fabric samples, sketches, look-books, prototypes, it was like a dream (well every dream I've ever had). I was awestruck. After visiting Cobian, I continued to dream by touring some $800,000 newly constructed homes with ocean views in the cutest town ever,
San Elijo. I of course was instantly in love with the most expensive ones. Check out the homes
here. I don't have pictures from Wednesday, it was a short day. We have to leave for the airport before 1pm. I wore my black and white Bohme dress. Here's a photo I've posted previously:

Necklace: Bohme, Cuff: Forever 21 |

Now I'm back in Boise and prepping for my last term at Boise State, which starts tomorrow. I'm hoping this term goes by quickly. If not, I'll just look back at my vacation pictures to take a little break from reality (homework).
Enjoy your Sunday bombshells!
