Joey and Rory. The ideal country duo. Husband and wife, this couple is the essence of country music. They're genuine farm living, southern raised, God-fearing cowboys. Boots and overalls are their go-to gear...apparently even for red carpet events. I was so shocked by their blatant disregard for the royalty of the red carpet affair at Sundays ACMAs, that I just had to post this duo's horrendous ensemble.
Seriously!?! I mean I can appreciate the desire to stick to your "down home" roots, but this relaxed look is more like two-steppin' tragedy than a classic country statement. Don't even get me started on the faded tie-dyed look. Sigh...
I adore this couple. I am blown away by their talent for singing and songwriting, but they need to brush up on their fashion sense, even if they are "country".
There's so much more to country than boots, overalls and fringe. There's a place for all that, just not on the red carpet. Sorry Joey & Rory :-)
