2013 SAG Awards

The Screen Actors Guild Award is a high honor in the world of Hollywood. Only 13 awards are presented each year. Awards are given for both television and film, presented to groups and/or individuals.  This is the 19th annual SAG Awards. During the SAG Awards, the Lifetime Achievement Award is also presented...but enough about history, lets talk fashion.

BoiseBomshell Hits

Giuliana Rancic in Max Azria - She rocked the spring flouncy Spanish trend

Elisabeth Moss in Dolce and Gabbana - I usually prefer floor length red carpet styles, but I felt this D&G design was red carpet worthy. I like how she kept it simple with minimal accessories.

Morena Baccarin's Lizard Hair Clip - so edgy without being too overpowering, I loved it

Vitalie Taittinger, artistic director of Taittinger Champagne, toasted to the kick off

Kerry Washington- This dress was so unique, I love how she stood out on the red carpet

Rosci Diaz - In a classic ivory & black color combination

Kelly Osbourne in Jenny Packham - I'm not usually into Kelly's style, but I thought she rocked this look at the SAG Awards (minus the purple hair of course).

January Jones in Prabal Gurung - Stunning high contrast gown, loved the draping in the black fabric

Jennifer Garner in Oscar de la Renta - classic red carpet look, very glamorous without trying too hard, she is breathtaking

BoiseBombshell Maybes

Helen Hunt in Romana Keveza- Incredible hair color, stunning body, loved the dress, but I didn't like the sparkly dress paired with the sparkly clutch, paired with the sparkly jewelry. I never thought I'd say this, but there is too much sparkle going on here.

Amanda Seyfried in Zac Posen - incredible gown, ruined by the necklace and her inability to walk the form fitting design. This color was incredible on her fair skin though, certainly an improvement from her white Golden Globes dress.

Nicole Kidman in Vivienne Westwood, stunning dress but wrong earrings and definitely wrong hair

BoiseBombshell NO-NOs

Ariel Winter - Poor color choice for her fair skin, the two piece ensemble make her torso look very square. The dress gave her a clock shape, not a good thing.

Jayma Mays in Georges Hobeika Ateleir- I didn't like the shapelessness of the gown. It was very boxy on her petite frame.

Michelle Dockery in vintage Chado Ralph Rucci - She was a Golden Globe BoiseBombhsell favorite, but she lost my vote at the SAG Awards with her tacky sheer side boob and gothic makeup.

Sofia Vergara in Donna Karan - The dress was too fussy with the cross strap and one shoulder detail, I didn't care for the sheen of the fabric either

ENOUGH of the Hollywood Glam side part ladies!!!

  • Naoimi Watts
  • Jessica Chastain
  • Tina Fey
  • Julianne Moore
  • Amanda Seyfried
...just to name a few

The Sheer Trend

I am not liking this season's sheer trend. I think sheer looks so cheap, when worn in place of cut-outs. This trend has been worn by so many celebrities, during this year's award season. Anne Hathaway wore the trend tonight at the SAG Awards. Anne Hathaway in Giambattista Valli Haute Couture.

BoiseBombshell Let Downs

Jessica Chastain in Alexander McQueen, I felt the dress was too typical. I feel like we've seen this dress a hundred times. She's so beautiful, she could've worn anything.

Julianne Moore in Chanel Couture- the dress did not fit her properly in the chest and the color was terrible on her. Definitely a step down from her Golden Globe ensemble 2 weeks ago.

Claire Danes in Givenchy - the sleeve should've been cropped at 3/4 length (even my husband mentioned that!) and the slit detail was too distracting

Aren't you loving award season bombshells!?! Next up? The Grammy's on February 10th. Stay tuned!

Be Bold,
Be Brave,
Be Beautiful,
