*VS Fashion Show*

Is there anything better than a glitter runway? This show takes a year to plan and runs from 1 hour.The second the show ends, the producers and directors begin planning. Every runway outfit is a custom made couture piece, uniquely designed with a particular model in mind. Usually the feature piece is a jeweled bra over $2 million! Only a select few angels are put into the runway show each year. Some of my VS model favorites? Miranda Kerr, Alessandra Ambrosio, Andriana Lima and Candice Swanepoel.

 

The original premiere of the 2012 VS Fashion Show occurred on November 7th at the Lexington Avenue Armory in NYC. Unfortunately, I didn't get to watch the show in November, so when it was showcased again tonight on CBS I dropped everything.

Downfalls of this years fashion show?


• I'm pretty sure every performer was lip singing and it was annoyingly obvious.
• The obnoxious scripted backstage scenes, where everyone was supposed to run around acting "chaotic". I'm not saying backstage isn't a busy place to be, I'm just saying it doesn't come with a script.
• Justin Bieber. Need I say more? The kid creeps me out... a lot.
• Did not care for the faux tattoos on the model in the opening walk. She looked way too hard to be an VS Angel. Nay nay.

BoiseBombshell favorites?

• The calendar girls showcase. VS showcased a custom outfit for each month. A St. Patrick's Day ensemble from March, April showers rain coat set, a bride for June, 50s swimsuit superstar for August, cheerleader for September, etc.

• Bruno Mars had one of the best performances. He was all over the stage with his band doing choreographed moves. Super jazzy, upbeat song. Loved it.
• Loved the rope wings :-)

It was my dream to be a VS model, when I was younger. Then I stopped getting taller and my boobs stopped getting bigger, sigh. Not all dreams are meant to come true :-)
