Right on Target!

So I love love love the Neiman Marcus/Target collaboration! (see previous post here) I went opening day, December 1st, and scoped out the collection. Unfortunately, I've been so busy with school and work, I never posted my findings. Now that I am officially done with fall term, I can indulge all my bloggies. In the theory of "better late than never," here it is:

I apologize for the blurry pictures, I kept secretly snapping photos with my phone. I had to do it quickly because I didn't want to get in trouble. Bombshells don't do well in prison...I don't think...

Sadly, I was not in much of a spending mood when I went. Perhaps because I spent the morning trudging through the forest in the rain, searching for a Christmas tree (outdoor adventures don't really put me in the shopping mood). I couldn't bring myself to purchase anything from the line, even though most pieces were under $60 (for designer clothing, that's a incredible)! The one top I thought I would love did not work for my short torso, but it would be stunning on any of you bombshells with a longer midsection. I was prepared to spend the $80 on this top because it was so beautiful, but it just didn't work on my square frame.

Robert Rodriguez Top ~$79.99
I loved these studded leather Brian Atwood gloves!

Brian Atwood Leather Gloves ~$49.99
Another BoiseBombshell favorite was this cocktail dress by Robert Rodriguez. I totally would've purchased it, if I had someplace to where it to...I couldn't even bring myself to try it on because I knew I'd fall instantly in love with it, sigh.
Robert Rodriguez Dress ~$99.99
I did like this top by Lela Rose for $69.99. Sensing a theme? I loved anything black, ivory with lace detailing. :-)

I didn't end up purchasing this top because the arm cut outs were too high in the back. It kept digging into the back of my shoulder, though I did love the front of the tank because it hid my "pit fat". You know that part between your shoulder and your chest? I call that my "pit fat" and I hate it...more like loathe it entirely.

Anyways, moving on. There was one top that was not black, by Tracy Reese. I didn't try it on though because at this point I had lost my shopping mojo. Loved the bright blue sequins!

Tracy Reese Blouse ~$79.99
Despite my lack of shopping spirit, I couldn't help but smile at this precious polka-dot little girl's dress by Jason Wu. If only it came in my size...
Jason Wu's Girl's Dress ~$59.99
I'm still on the hunt for the perfect faux leather pant. I thought there would be some in the collection because model Karlie Kloss had on a pair of glossy pleather skinnies and a red peplum top in all the advertisements, loved them both, but I couldn't find either piece in the collection, a minor set back.

Be sure to check out the collection, I know you'll love it. It's only out for a limited time though, so hurry into Target or shop online. Bombshell to bombshell, a word of advice: make sure to go when you're in a good shopping mood :-)

Soon I'll be writing about another designer collection I obsess over, this one is at Kohl's. The collections are ongoing and feature some of my favorite designers: Vera Wang, Lauren Conrad and Narcisco Rodriguez.

Hope you find yourself inspired this week before Christmas! Lots of shopping to be done. Good luck bombshells!
