The BoiseBombshell: R.I.P Piperlime

For the past 8 weeks I have been having trouble accessing one of my favorite online shopping destinations: Piperlime. When I first had difficulty accessing the site, I didn't think much of it. I attributed the failure to a sluggish internet connection. I would wait a week or two and try again. When I tried again today for about the 5th time an yielded no results, I started to dig a little deeper for answers and now I am heartbroken.

Apparently at the end of April 2015, Gap, Inc. "closed" Piperlime. Although it existed almost entirely online, Piperlime did have a brick & mortar location in SoHo that opened in NYC in 2012. The store was also closed in April.

Piperlime certainly wasn't closed on the account of me not purchasing enough items :-) Founded in 2006 by Gap Inc., Piperlime was one of my go-to shopping sites. According to Gap, Inc. they closed the brand in order to focus more on their "core brands" (Old Navy, Gap, Piperlime).

I have so many beloved pieces from Piperlime. It was easy to find unique pieces and I could make purchases with Piperlime confident that I wouldn't end up being twins with a co-worker when I wore it to work. They also carried some AMAZING brands: Kate Spade, Everly and Tinley Road...just to name a few. Piperlime always had incredible guest fashion editors like Rachel Zoe and Olivia Palermo. I will really be at a loss without it.
