Lime Green & Navy Blue Baby Shower

Babies are in the air. We have experienced some 14 of our friends and family being pregnant in less than 12 months! It has been baby mania lately, but you won't find me complaining.

I was thrilled when one of my good friends  told me she was having her second child. After the excitement, came the inevitable question, "Can I throw the baby shower?"

It's a funny thing about baby #2, a lot of moms feel guilty having a shower. They worry it seems selfish because they already had a big party for baby #1, but whether it's baby #1 or #4 this new life is something to celebrate. My friend went through a similar mental debate over whether or not it was appropriate to have another baby shower. I insisted she deserved one. After a little convincing, she agreed. What a joy to get to celebrate her growing family!

I loved throwing this shower. It was low key, with simple decor (no theme just a navy and lime green color palette). It was more of a girls night in, than a baby shower. We skipped playing any games and just spent the evening enjoying each other's company, sipping "mocktails" and opening presents.

*INVITATIONS*

I did traditional paper invitations. My friend mentioned she had been into alligators lately for the baby, so I went with that. We picked these sweet and simple invites from Paperless Post. They have a wonderful selection of free online invites and reasonably priced paper invites.
