Lip Tar Superstar!!!

If you haven't tried lip tar, you are missing out bombshell! Don't worry, I was recently in the same boat until Christmas. A huge thanks to my secret Santa at work for introducing me to this lip magic!

Lip Tar Test Tube from Sephora ~$19

The set I have is called "Pink Prism."  I love the "pretty boy" bold pink color, but the lighter pink tube "lovecraft" is a little too crazy for me. Lovecraft is a very metallic pink, think pepto-bismol meets discoball...not good. I stick with the primer and "pretty boy" color combo, but if you're feeling adventurous reach for "lovecraft." You can also try your hand at mixing the 2 colors together.

You know what else is great about lip tar products? They are 100% vegan and cruelty-free, gotta love that!

When I do such a bold lip color, I keep the rest of my makeup very simple. A light neutral eye shadow adds just enough shimmer to complete the look.

I kept my mascara simple as well and reached for Maybelline's "Mega Plush Volum' Express." Read more about it in my Beauty Breakdown. It's a gel-mousse formula, so it's less sticky and stiff than regular mascara.

Hope you are enjoying he 49th Superbowl this Sunday evening, apparently 1/3 of the country's population is watching. So far I'm not that impressed with the commercials, but the game is pretty interesting. Tied at 14 at halftime. McDonald's has had the best ad so far, that makes for a sad day. Admittedly I am only watching for the half-time show and then will likely pop in a chick flick instead ;-)

Be Bold,
Be Brave,
Be Beautiful,
