The Gold Globe Awards is the kick of to award season and I am thrilled to bring you the first BoiseBombshell Red Carpet Review of 2015. To view last year's Golden Globe red carpet looks click here.
The actual awards ceremony was not that exciting, but the 72nd Annual Golden Globe red carpet was very entertaining. From Emma Stone's glamourous pant suit to Keira Knightly's bibbed prairie gown, there was quite a range of styles at this year's award show.
The BoiseBombshell Hits:
As weird as this may sound, I could stare at Emma Stone all day. She is flawless. Plus, she can pull off any hair color. Who else can do that? Exactly. No one. Usually I am not a fan of anything but long evening gowns on the red carpet, but this pant suit surprised me. The over sized bow-train and the jeweled bodice gave it the right amount of glamor to work for the red carpet.

This year's "Miss Golden Globe" title went to Greer Grammer, Kelsey Grammer's daughter. This annual title is given by the Hollywood Foreign Press Association and traditionally goes to a son/daughter of a celebrity. Greer looked elegant in this feminine monochromatic ensemble.

Although she's not quite an A-lister yet, Julia Goldani Telles sure knows how to dress for the red carpet. This cobalt blue gown was striking paired with her fair skin tone and dark hair. I instantly loved it!

Kelly looked amazing in this gown. The fitted body with the flared sleeves was a perfect look for her. The beaded neckline added enough sparkle without going over the top. The purple faux-hawk and camera shaped clutch kept the look true to her funky style.

Kelly Osbourne |
I loved the way this dress was styled. Simple hair, simple shoes and simple makeup kept this shiny gown from looking too gaudy. Although I will not be watching Miss Johnson in the upcoming movie "50 Shades of Grey", she looked stunning on tonight's red carpet.

Dakota Johnson |
Anna Kendrick looked incredible in this dress. The ball gown shape with the slicked down hair, LOVE LOVE LOVE!!! The nude tone looks perfect on her porcelain complexion. She almost has the poise of a prima ballerina in this gown.

This metallic feathered frock was the perfect color combo for the infamous red Julianne Moore hair. I wish her hair had been styled more, perhaps slicked into a side bun? Never-the-less I loved this dress on her.

Sometimes when younger celebrities walk the red carpet they dress too much like adults. That was not the case tonight. This 11 year old beauty from "Annie" looked perfectly her age and still pulled off a red carpet elegance.

The BoiseBombshell Maybes:
I love Leslie Mann, she is hilarious! This dress fits her incredibly and I love the drop style earrings, but the bold lip color with the overwhelmingly bold colored dress makes for one bright night. If the dress had been in navy blue with a diamond drop earring it would have been perfect.

Oh Allison. The dress is beautiful, but the dark eye makeup, dark lipstick and overdone hair ruin the look. With a dress this busy and bold both hair and makeup should be kept simple.

Allison Williams |
There wasn't anything really wrong with this dress, but there also wasn't a "Wow" factor. The silver in pretty, but maybe add bold drop ruby earrings and a geometric clutch. I would skip the silver bangle. Although in this case let's be honest, it's probably a diamond bangle.

Reese Witherspoon |
Her hair and makeup are flawless, but the oversized bow, collared shirt, peep toes shoes and statement ring are a little too much. Lose the bow, close the shoe and make it metallic, remove the ring and have the top be a fitted off-the-shoulder black blouse...or red.

Melissa McCarthy |
A sad case of over accessorizing for Selma Hayek this evening. The gown color and fabric were perfect, but the metallic belt ruined the dress and looked rather cheap. The earrings, the hair flower, the bangle and the clutch were all a little too much especially since they were all the same color. If she just wore the dress and earrings it would have looked incredible.

The BoiseBombshell Misses:
Lena Dunham never fails to end up on this miss list, at least she's consistent. The fit and fabric of this dress are horrendous. The matching shoes, lipstick and dual bracelets are just awful. I'm holding out hope one of these days she'll nail it on the red carpet. Unfortunately, that day was not today.

Wrong length, wrong fabric, wrong colors and wrong shoes. Hair and makeup though are perfect!

I don't even know where to start on this one. The whole thing is a mess. Her hair is too loose, the earrings to big, her dress doesn't fit...don't even get me started on the print...yikes!![]() |
Claire Daines |
Can some say Miss America? This look was much too paegent queen for the red carept and I might advise Miss Klum to lay off the tanning...she's looking a little orange this evening.

Heidi Klum |
This dress is horrible. It's the wrong color and certainly the wrong fit. The cut does nothing for her body and the peach colored side panels? No no.

I hope you enjoyed the first BoiseBombshell Red Carpet Review of 2015. My favorite speech of the evening? Hands down Gina Rodriguez who won Best Actress in a TV Series, Comedy or Musical. She seems like one genuine gal. I love that. Watch her acceptance speech here.
