Red Carpet Review: 2014 CMAs

Tonight ABC broadcasted the 48th annual CMA Awards. This year's award show was hosted for the 7th year in a row by infamous duo, Brad Paisley and Carrie Underwood. I should mention Carrie Underwood will be getting her own blog post, on the account of the fact she changed looks so many times during the show :-)

There were some fabulous looks on the red carpet this year.

Get ready for some BoiseBombshell hits, maybes and misses...

BoiseBombshell Hits:

Simple and stunning. The only thing I might add? A skinny jeweled belt and a bold colored or metallic clutch.
Jennifer Nettles

Perfect!!! One of my favorite looks of the night.
Lucy Hale
Loved this sleek old Hollywood glam look. The color of the dress, the makeup, the hair...she pulled it off perfectly.
Although she seems to always wear her hair the same way on the red carpet, I still like the color, print and fit of the gown.
Jana Kramer

As usual, I am clinging to the blush tone and ivory gowns. This vintage-looking gown on Nicole Kidman was no exception.
Nicole Kidman

Usually I don't enjoy short dresses on the red carpet, but I actually love this bold green dress on Connie Britton. The understated shoes are so perfect with this bold colored dress!!!
Connie Britton

This silhouette is timeless. I love the emerald colored earring paired with black. Think Angelina Jolie at the 2009 Academy Awards.

Danielle Bradbery (love the song "The Heart of Dixie"

Pay attention boys. Take a lesson in style from Dierks Bentley.
Perfect fit, perfect pattern and perfect color pairing.
Dierks Bentley

BoiseBombshell Maybes:

Faith's dress is nearly perfect, but the bow and the dark lip are a little overdone. Tim looks amazing!!!
Faith Hill & Tim McGraw

The hair is distracting, to say the least. It overwhelms her petite frame and makes the rest of her look appear so boxy. I think if her hair had been pulled back in a sleek bun and the dress in a deep maroon, it could have worked.
Kacey Musgraves

Quite the dark couple. She's definitely in need of a bold necklace, belt and bold lip.
Trisha Yearwood & Garth Brooks

BoiseBombshell No-Nos:

Perhaps someone should have let her know the red carpet at the CMAs is slightly more conservative than the Victoria Secret runway.
Lily Aldridge (VS model)

This dress is not the right size. The strap detail makes the dress look cheap and dare I say it...a little trashy. This is unfortunate because Hillary Scott is so stunning!!!
Hillary Scott from Lady Antebellum

A bedazzled milk maid?
Clare Bowen of the hit series Nashville

ABSOLUTELY NOT!!! No no no, on so many levels.
Gretchen Wilson

As a newcomer, you should dress to impress. No jacket, no undershirt, no tie, no socks...not very impressive.
Sam Hunt

A terrible combo on Kimberly Schlapman (second from the left). The fringed skirt is perfect on it's own, but it doesn't go with the silk (quite possible polyester) button-down blouse with the fringed sleeves.
Little Big Town

There is such thing as too short of a dress and too dark of roots. The dress she performed in with Blake Shelton was even shorter.
Ashley Monroe

Hope you enjoyed this year's CMA red carpet review!!!
