I spent Friday and Saturday night camping at the Bruneau Sand Dunes with Corey and some of our friends. As you might have guessed, I am not a big camper. Now don't get me wrong, I enjoy a swim in the lake or a hike in the woods as much as the next person...but when it comes to sleeping outside, that's a different story.
Now I'm pretty reasonable when it comes to camping. I don't believe in "glamping" that's just silly, you may as well just got to a ritzy hotel instead. I don't believe in watching movies or enjoying air conditioner while camping, again you may as well just stay home or rent a hotel room. However, there are 3 things I must have to camp willingly: 1) air mattress 2) full functioning facilities (showers and flushing toilets) and 3) magazines. This camping trip, Corey surprised me by even packing a full set of sheets and a comforter for our air mattress. The man is a saint, which makes me one happy camper.

Oscar had a pretty good time on his first camping trip. We found out he can actually swim, but he wasn't too thrilled with that discovery. We had to buy him little dog booties, to protect his paws from the burning hot sand. He didn't seem to mind. Oh my goodness...I've become one of those dog people, ew.
He didn't let me get a very good picture of his new shoes |

We had a pretty good time star gazing, swimming, biking and playing games. We made these delicious apple s'mores my friend found on Pinterest (don't mind the pinners chipped nail polish haha). Apparently Corey was taking some photos, when I went to walk Oscar. These pictures crack me up, they remind me of those "celebrity siting" photos in tabloids, you know the ones where the people always look terrible and confused...yeup that's me haha.
When I go camping I like to bring some beauty basics (bb cream, sunscreen, mineral powder, mascara and of course lipstick). Packing my beauty products was made easy with the help of Becca Allen an independent Gigi Hill stylist. I purchased a perfect travel organizer from Becca for my makeup.
The bag unfolds and hangs easily so you can see everything you packed |
Removable mirrors and zipper pouches |
Storage compartment, I used it for my headbands and hair ties |
The interior is made of a durable vinyl that you can easily wipe down |
Removable makeup pouch |
Micro suede exterior..I wish the top flap was a little longer, but it closes just fine if you don't try to jam it full of products like I did at first :-) Unfortunately, Gigi Hill has recently closed its doors due to financial difficulty. The company closed with little fore warning to clients and independent stylists, after learning their line of credit with the bank had been cancelled. Becca still has a few Gigi Hill items left at incredible discounts. If you want more information about the Gigi Hill products she has left, you can e-mail her at: beccamarie20@msn.com. Even though Gigi Hill is no longer, you can still travel in style. Check out these other travel bags:
