Oh the holidays...

Oh my poor neglected blog. Hopefully, post graduation, blogging will become much easier. I have prioritized school and family over my blog lately and looking back I am glad I did.

The past two weekends, we've traveled back to Central Oregon for family events.  The 6 hour drive one way was entirely worth it.

The first weekend of course was for Thanksgiving with our families & my father in-law's birthday. We're lucky to have both our families in the same area, so we can see both sides for holidays. Unfortunately, we won't be home for Christmas (first time in our lives) so we decided to make the most of it and take extra time to enjoy Thanksgiving.

Last weekend we went to Central Oregon to celebrate my mom turning 50 and my brother-in-law & sister-in-law purchasing their first home. We had a blast, despite the -18 degree weather (yes that is a "-" in front of that 18. We got home last night just in time for me to make it to my 6pm class, only to fine the cold weather destroyed my car battery and the silly thing wouldn't start. Just like me, my car hates the cold and will refuse to go out in it. So like a little kid, I was dropped off at school by my husband haha

Congratulations to my brother and sister in-law on purchasing their first home. They were pleasantly surprised to learn you often get presents at a housewarming party. What a couple of cuties ;-)

.School has left my Christmas shopping list incomplete and my house decorated somewhat haphazardly. In an effort to save time, we opted out of Christmas cards this year (a very hard decision for me).

I recently received the honor of being the College of Business & Economics Signature Student. Awards are being presented this Friday at a luncheon on campus. Stay tuned for pictures of my award lunch attire.

Well back to reality...dull discussion boards, conflict communications papers, documentaries on advertising and studying for finals. Trust me, I would much rather be here with you all. My new motto lately "Do what you have to do to get to where you want to be." Graduation is in 10 days, hopefully you'll see more of me after that :-)

PS-  I finalized my graduation ensemble this weekend. Here's a hint: MK.
